About Us: Our Story

The Liberty Properties group was formed in the early 1990’s as a real estate investment holding vehicle. Since that time, the group has owned and operated commercial properties in the United States as well as single family homes and apartment buildings in Winnipeg.

Our strength lies in the selection of solid investment opportunities with low rate financing... in particular, those which offer the immediate prospect for adding value through renovation. Single family homes are acquired, renovated as necessary and retained as rental properties or divested in the retail market. Apartment blocks are renovated and the tenant profile is upgraded in a decontrolled rent environment. The outcome is a substantially increased rental cash flow (and value).

Liberty works closely with a small group of investors to structure tax-effective investments secured through direct ownership of a property or loans (including RRSP investments). Investment returns are maximized through the prudent use of financial leverage, at low risk to the investor.
